STILL WE ROAR tells the stories of Kerry Davis, (England’s first Black female footballer), Mary Phillip, (England’s first Black female captain) and Hope Powell (first female manager for England, who also happens to be Black). These three women are pioneers in the game. Their paths have crossed many times, most notably at the Women’s World Cup in Sweden 1995, where our play is set.

 

The 40-minute play received its premiere in the Great Hall at Wembley Stadium on Thursday 26th October 2023 to celebrate Black History Month.
